EUROCONTACT, in partnership with EMSA Iași, hosted the Guide to International Medical Licensing, an event dedicated to helping future medical graduates understand international licensing pathways.
The conference took place on April 1, at 6:30 PM, in the “Anatomie Mic” Amphitheatre, UMPh Iași.
Participants received essential insights into licensing procedures, opportunities for practicing medicine abroad, migration routes, internships, and employment options.

Guide to International Medical Licensing
The conference was addressed to medical students in their 6th, 5th, and 4th years and aimed to clarify the professional options available after completing their studies. The event provided a structured framework in which participants could reflect on the essential question: “After finishing medical school, which direction is most suitable for me?”
Opportunities in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and other destinations were analyzed, with a focus on aspects such as:
– where they can begin the desired specialization,
– where procedures are more accessible,
– how to make efficient use of waiting periods,
– how to manage family financial resources responsibly,
– and what the professional and financial prospects are in each country.
Students received detailed answers to their questions from an expert in international medical licensing, with over 25 years of experience and thousands of successfully completed procedures. The presentation was based on real examples, the pathways of previous generations, and a deep understanding of each country’s requirements.
The conference offered participants a clear, realistic, and well‑grounded perspective, helping them shape their professional path with greater confidence and clarity.
