Spain provides a well‑defined licensing process for EU‑trained healthcare professionals at the Ministry of Health by the recognition of qualifications (homologación or reconocimiento profesional), followed by mandatory registration with the regional Colegio (medical or dental council). Enrollment in specialist training is compulsory, and it is by examination. A C1 level of Spanish is required to ensure safe and effective clinical practice.
